Each Montessori student is seen as a unique individual
and most learning occurs in an individualized curriculum.
Younger students experience their learning in an environment
with older role models that in turn strengthen their
learning from the role of teacher/leader. Each student
moves through the curriculum at their own pace.
The environment is equipped for differentiated learning
to occur at all levels and the pressure to keep up or
slow down is eliminated. Students not only learn academic
material from their peers, they learn to work as a group
within society.
Mixed age groups within a class help students develop
friendships and trust with other children that will
carry on from year-to-year.
