Through music students can develop critical cognitive function. An important part of this program is class performance.

Students in 5-8th grade are allowed in our 2 bands or 2 Chorus'. Those interested in band (especially beginners) need to talk with Mr. Begian before they leave for the Summer. It's best to work on your instrument over the Summer months.
Look for Mr. Begian, this Summer directing, singing, drumming with The Downriver Community Band.  We play in the Trenton River Park before the July 4th FIREWORKS.  Also, Mr. Begian will be teaching fun music classes at CMA's Summer Day Camp on Wednesday afternoons.
Anyone interested in private music lessons this Summer...come see Mr. Begian. Instrument or Voice, it's your choice...You can fun, once you have BEGUN.

I love being a music educator at CMA because I am allowed to be creative in the music curriculum.  K-6th grade students are exposed to musical math, history, science, theory, composition, playing, and singing.  It's just, good fun being the one to see the thrill in their eyes as they recognize their amazing (toe tapping) accomplishments.
